HKW Successfully Defends Defendants Accused of Violating State and Federal Racketeering (RICO) Laws
HKW Attorneys Martha Decker and Steve Hill have successfully defended California flooring company Alston, Inc., its president Alan Chou and Christopher Dillon against a lawsuit brought by Georgia flooring company Home Legend. The suit accused Dillonof conspiring with Chou and Alston to violate state and federal racketeering laws while Dillon was an employee of Home Legend. In response to a motion for summary judgment filed by HKW on behalf of the defendants at the conclusion of the discovery period, Home Legend agreed to drop its lawsuit. The lawsuit was pending in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.
